Honourable Dr Edward Omane Boamah

Minister of Communications

Honourable Dr Edward Omane Boamah will be Special Guest of Honour at the Ghana eCommerce Expo and will officially open the event. Dr. Omane Boamah is a medical doctor trained in the University of Ghana Medical School with a medical elective in a University in Missouri in the United States.

He is expected to shed more light on the construction of the largest data Center in West Africa as well as government's resolve on cyber security.

Saqib Nazir

CEO, Interpay

Saqib Nazir is a technology entrepreneur at the forefront of fintech in Africa. Saqib is CEO of Interpay Africa – a payment platform that is making payments smarter, easier and faster.

Saqib is also the CEO of CIS Ghana, which over its 20 year history has rolled out various innovative products aimed at making technology locally relevant and using it to solve every day problems. The company’s portfolio includes PortingXS Ghana, which manages Ghana’s Mobile Number Portability service.

Saqib holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Ghana, Legon, and an MSc in Information Systems Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology

Cherian Mathew

V Partner, Qnet

Cherian entered the eCommerce industry in 2000, when he was only a few years into his job as a manager at a multinational company in Bahrain. He did so with a direct selling company which has been raking huge success in Asia – QNET.

Through QNET, Cherian found an opportunity to earn more to better support his growing family, and he decided to dedicate himself to building his eCommerce business with the company.

In 2012, he was pronounced V Partner, placing him among the top leading representatives of the company. With this, Cherian was able to dedicate himself further to improving the QNET customer experience, especially with the use of online tools developed by the company. This helped him build his organisation in Africa. 

Throughout his journey, he has formed partnerships with people around the world and has found himself a formidable team called the TITANS, who have been steadfast in their efforts to bring QNET far and wide. Cherian encourages his team to constantly improve their knowledge in eCommerce and their entrepreneurial management skills through trainings by the company and other providers in the industry.


Haris Broumidis

CEO, Vodafone Ghana

Haris Broumidis is an international business leader with a proven record in building and managing high performing organizations in the Telecommunications and FMCG industries.

With strong roots in Marketing, Sales and General Management, his professional experience involves senior roles in both B2C and B2B markets in Europe and Emerging Markets.

Since 2002, he has assumed various senior roles across four different countries in Vodafone such as Marketing Director and Enterprise Business Unit Director in Vodafone Greece, CEO of Vodafone Albania, Commercial Director for Europe in Vodafone Group and CEO of Vodafone Ghana.

He has also served on a number of Boards including the Supervisory Board of Vodafone Germany and the Board of Vodafone Greece.

Prior to joining Vodafone, he assumed various senior Marketing and General Management roles in the FMCG industry working for Delta Dairy SA (currently Vivartia). Haris was appointed Chief Executive for Vodafone Ghana in 2013. He is an alumnus of INSEAD, University of Athens and Cardiff Business School.

Sinamar Reyes

Programme Manager, QNET

Sinamar  has over 15 years of proven expertise in the eCommerce industry, with a wide array of skills ranging from Software Project Management, Product Development, Business Analysis, Web Development and People Management. He joined QNET in 1999, and immediately took the lead in two successful key QNET projects – the deployment of QNET’s eCommerce Platform and overall management of its Compensation Plan engine.

After having served as a Key Manager of QNET’s Global IT Department, Sinamar became the Research & Development Manager for International Operations, where he focused on developing communication platforms. Focusing further on the development QNET mobile apps, he spearheaded the foundation of a software development company in the Philippines – Quest ION. He has also implemented various solutions leveraging on Cloud technology. 

In his commitment to QNET’s overall development and charitable pursuits, Sinamar continues to drive himself to improve further in his eCommerce expertise. He has recently finished a bimonthly series of training and engages deeper learning by coaching IT students from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.

Sandra Abrokwa

Country Manager, Tonaton

Sandra has over 8 years of experience driving strategy, marketing and sales in the telecoms and consulting industries. Prior to joining, Sandra worked with Vodafone Ghana developing and executing campaigns and driving channel loyalty. She also spent three years working in the payments practice of McKinsey & the United States. Sandra holds a BSC in Economics from Agnes Scott College and a Certificate in Advanced Marketing Strategies from Tulane University in the United States.

Sandra will chair the panel discussion, "Ecommerce in Ghana-Challenges, Innovations & Solutions"

Agastee Khante

General Manager, Ringier Ghana

Agastee Khante is the GM for the Ghana business of Ringier Africa. Ringier Ghana runs 2 market leading content platforms - and, a digital marketing agency RDM ( Ringier Digital Marketing ) and the leading e -commerce deals site -

He has 12 years of experience in digital media across business development, product management and digital marketing and having worked in India, UK and for the past 6 years in Kenya and Ghana. He has previously worked at Nation Media Group,, Yahoo Jagran and The Times of India group in various capacities. 

Agastee holds a Masters Degree in Finance and a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering

He will be a panelist on "eCommerce in Ghana-Challenges, Innovations & Solutions"

Luis Ruano

Global cloud Computing in partnership with  StoorLabs Company

Luis Ruano is a Business Development Manager of cloud ICT Infrastructures. His recent career has been focused in deploying and providing support services to Cloud ICT Infrastructures. He has designed and managed the delivery of huge disaster recovery storage infrastructures with cloned centres 20 kilometres apart each other. He has satisfied the customer in his expectations of having high availability solutions with cloud-based technology such as virtual servers, virtual disks and virtual tapes.

In addition he has architected some of the largest Fibre Optics Storage Area Networks of Europe that contributed to increase the tolerance to disasters thanks to new features of redundancy and virtualization. He has integrated large ITIL process systems, large Storage Infrastructures and complex hardware/software engineering systems.

Luis will have a 45 minute session with delegates on the effective ways of backing up and storing vital business information.

Funlola Abe

Country Manager, Kaymu, Jumia & AIG Express

Funlola Abe is the country manager for Kaymu, Jumia and AIG Express Ghana, which are all part of the Africa Internet Group (AIG). Funlola joined AIG earlier this year after pursuing an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Her career experience spans across logistics, with Africa Courier Express (ACE) and investment banking at Morgan Stanley, where she spent five years in the Commodities Trading Division.

In her spare time, she enjoys playing squash, surfing and eating out.

Prince Kofi Kludjeson

Executive Chairman, Alltell

Prince Kofi Kludjeson is an astute celebrated Ghanaian business man and Founder and Executive Chairman of Akasanoma Industries limited, Kludjeson International Limited and Alltel group of companies. 

Prior to founding Alltel Limited, Prince Kofi Kludjeson was with Celtel as the Founder and Executive Chairman. His successful turnaround of Celtel positioned the company for its acquisition by Kasapa telecom.

Prince Kofi Kludjeson is the past President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), a position he held for two consecutive terms. He is currently the Chairman of Strategy for Ghana Industries.

His topic: "The Role of Mobile in Engaging Successfully with Your Target Market''.

Joseph Yaw Asumang

Country Manager, Oracle

Joseph Asumang is a graduate of University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and the Cranfield School of Management in the UK. He started his Oracle career with Oracle UK Consulting before moving to Africa Operations in 2001. Prior to that he worked  as a Business Solutions Consultant  with Safeway Plc – a leading retail chain in the UK. He is currently the Country Manager for Oracle Ghana, overseeing operations across multiple lines of business and a responsibility towards business growth.

He has played a key role in the development of Oracle’s business across Africa where he has specifically been responsible for the development and nurturing of the Applications Solution Consulting team within Sub-Saharan Africa. Besides his country leadership role he is also responsible for providing leadership for the planning and execution of ERP field engagements throughout East and West Africa. His in-depth industry solutions knowledge and extensive field expertise are constantly brought to bear in dealings with a wide variety of organisations within the African business landscape.


Derek Appiah

Country Manager, Microsoft Ghana

After gaining 20 years of experience in research, technology, product development, marketing, sales and general management in the UK, Appiah felt the need to contribute to the growing economic development in Africa, and its emerging markets in particular. 

He spent time working in the UAE and Nigeria, where he worked as an executive director at MTN, before moving back to Ghana in 2011 to work at Vodafone Ghana, Logiciel Ghana and now Microsoft.

Claire Staal

Country Manager

Africa’s No1 Hotel Booking Portal, backed by Rocket Internet, MTN and Milicom. launched operations in 2013 in Nigeria and since then has also opened offices in 12 Sub-Saharan Countries. Currently, company offers more then 200,000 hotels in 211 countries around the world including over 20,000 hotels in Africa.

Claire Staal worked for big hotel chains like Starwood and Hilton Worldwide before she started as Head of Business Development with Jovago Nigeria. Because of her hard work and successes she was promoted as Country Manager in Ghana and launched the brand in the beginning of July 2015. Claire is an example of somebody who works hard and enjoys her live the fullest. In her free time she loves to dance Salsa and Kizomba.

Klenam is Co-Founder and head of Corporate Affairs and Communications at Yougora Limited a software startup in the heart of Accra with a focus on Enterprise solutions and mobile apps. With senses peeked in design (User Interface & User Experience) Klenam has contributed enormously with his creativity and associated acts to many brands that have sparked off in Ghana, Nigeria, Australia and beyond through a company he founded over 7 years ago with a primary focus on helping build not just brands but brands that impact. Klenam has training in Software Development, and English. 

Klenam has over 12 years experience in Information technology, social media and building social software concepts. He has mentored at various competitions and events including the Lean startup machine in Accra. As a public speaker he has delivered speeches at various symposia and seminars on technology and its use to drive development. including the Ghana SME Summit, Ghana commerce expo-2013 and 2014, Ghana SME Expo 2013, Business sense in 2013, panelist at the Ghana mobile expo 2015, Google G-Days 2014, Mobile Monday, Online 2012-Accra and a host of others.

                                                                  Klenam is also co-founder at Sika,  a finTech startup from San Fransisco launching in Ghana in the next few months.

Stephen Boadi

Head of Digital Marketing, PZ Cussons

Stephen Boadi is a digital marketing expert with over 13 years’ experience working for businesses and agencies such as Sony (UK), HSBC, Abbey National, Bradford & Bingley, Investec, uniBank, CHRISAACH and Wembley (London). He is presently the Head of Digital Marketing for PZ Cussons, Africa Region. His areas of expertise include social media, websites and mobile marketing.

Stephen is also a public speaker and trainer on various aspects of digital marketing. }Stephen holds, among other qualifications, an MA in Mass Communications from University of Leicester (Business & Political Communication); MA in ELT; PgDip in Direct Marketing; and a BA (Hon) English & Law. He is a member of and contributor to such industry organisations and newsgroups as IAB (UK), eConsultancy, HubSpot, CIM UK, DMI UK, eDialogue, Inside Facebook, and the Content Marketing Institute.

Harsh Sarda

Managing Director, Retail Vertical Africa, Nielsen Company

Harsh has extensive experience around understanding consumer behavior in developing markets, having spent close to 15 years studying the same – he has worked across multiple markets including India/South East Asia/Africa.

In Africa, he has performed multiple roles for Nielsen – leading the insights/innovation business for Africa, the regional MD for the West Africa business (based out of Lagos), and in the most recent role he is leading the development of the  retailer vertical in the region.

The retailer vertical, for Nielsen, is focused around understanding the shopper behavior in the retail space and how digital is impacting shopper trends in the region – he is working with the brick & mortar as well as e-com retailers in Africa.

Albert Biga

Albert Biag is currently the Founder & CEO of ,an online retail store. Albert is an a technology evangelist and ICT Business entrepreneur. He has over 18 years of professional practice spanning software design & implementation & business process automation.

Albert’s experience includes business development and project lead roles for many successful ventures he has founded in the ICT, Real Estate and retail industries. His international experience across the sub-region was with Intel Corporation, USAID/WATH ,Ford Foundation-West Africa, the SOFTtribe, TBS Limited among others.

Maximus Ametorgoh

Managing Director, PopOut

Maximus is a digital marketing strategist, social media coach, technology consultant, and technology columnist. He has practical experience in advertising, digital marketing, social media, web/app development and events. He has worked for both local and multinational companies and brands over the years. He speaks on topical technology-industry issues with special focus on the business of technology at technology and business events.

His latest app, BoxBuzz, was selected among the Top 40 Innovative Startups in Africa by VC4Africa; which he pitched at DEMO Africa in Nairobi, Kenya, in October 2013.

He is a weekly business-technology columnist for Graphic Business, the largest business newspaper in Ghana published by Graphic Communications Group. He believes technology is the new business tool as well as a profitable business on its own and believes "technology will format every business and industry globally". He is the Managing Director of PopOut, a company based in Accra.

Albert Antwi-Bosiako

Albert is the Founder & Principal e-Crime Consultant of e-Crime Bureau Inc., a cyber security and digital forensics firm specializing in cyber security and cyber forensics services in West Africa. e-Crime Bureau supports both public and private sector organizations with cyber security consulting services, cyber investigations assistance, cyber security technology support and training among others.

Albert, through the operations of e-Crime Bureau consults for the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Cybercrimes and has also conducted research on cyber evolution in West Africa with The Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House), United Kingdom. Albert has also coordinated projects for major international organizations including the Commonwealth Cybercrime Initiative (CCI) of the Commonwealth Secretariat and Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA).Albert has presented at major international conferences including Council of Europe Conference on Cybercrimes in Strasbourg, France and the United Nations Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD) conference on Cybercrime and e-Commerce in Geneva, Switzerland.
